Completed solution for space-charge-limited currents in initially monoenergetic electron vacuum diodes Y. Feng (UCB-NE) The solution for space-charge-limited (SCL) currents in initially monoenergetic electron vacuum diodes is extended to relativistic regime. There are two types of solution found where type I corresponds to zero steady state surface electric field and type II corresponds to a finite steady state surface electric field. Our solution has been compared to the classic space-charge-limited currents with initial energy and relativistic space-charge limited currents without initial energy.
