Minnich (UCB-CES) Motivated by the need for analytic models for mobility in DC discharges, computational mobility measurements using XPDP1 were performed for Argon and Helium. Drift velocity was collected over a wide range of parameters, including electric field and pressure, and used to calculate mobility. The resulting measurements were fit using a simple theoretical model. A pressure scaling is shown to work well, but the curve fit is shown to perform only marginally, with poor agreement at low fields. Differences in XPDP1 measurements before and after a bug fix to the collisional model will also be presented.
